Ive just finished a new From The Cradle To The Rave song with guest vocals from none other than the Dead Subverts (see didnt I tell you this would happen)! Its called 'Death Throes' and is about the abolition of capital punishment. I dont hold much faith in the human species but the fact that we, as a society, allow death to be dealt to our own kind and yet think of ourselves as civilized completely sickens me. Its a hypocritical notion to condemn one of murder and then punish him/her with the same act. Humans do bad things, justice should be carried out, but a system which has 1) never been proven to deter crime and 2) been proven to be wrong in so many cases and yet is completely irrevokable, cannot be part of that process. We are not a civilized society while we allow murder to be sentenced.

So this one is a little special, its my girls birthday this weekend so Im upping this number for her! Its a minute and a half long electro-hands-in-the-air-breakdown-build-up-chinchilla-step beast! I made this for a soundtrack to a video project she was doin on the relationship between alcohol and rape and changes in UK law which are making convictions harder and harder to obtain when drink has been involved. A dark subject, but her skills bagged her an award! The soundtrack is on a happy tip guaranteed to dislocate your shoulders as you reach high for the lazers!

Mllion Dan Show

Ez Fuckers!

Its been a while since I last posted which means its a blog update frenzy tonight! So first things first, most notable night of rump shakin blast beats in the past month was the Million Dan show in Glasgow @ the V club. If you dont know who Million Dan is off the bat you're seriously missing out... A legend in his own right hes been running tings for years in jungle/ragga/hip hop crew the Demon Boyz and as a solo artist working with the likes of The Freestylers and the man Jay Large to name a few, his debut solo album is one of my favourite hip hop LPs of all time so check that out quicksmart!!

Anyway, I digress, 1212 were supporting @ this extravagangsta, doin a little mash up hip hop reggea style DJ set and then a live set with MC Profisee. It was our first time rockin some of the new tunes so was good to hear that shit loud and with Prof spittin live on stage! The songs in question are called Fiyah and No More Deceit and we're in talks at the minute about gettin these out on some reel style media soon soon soon! I cant say much more than that but when I can, you punx will be the first to know..no doubt! Back to the show and Million rocked Glasgow big time, his first trip up to Scotland and fuck it was worth the wait, total hype, energy and toast fuelled spittin! BRRRAP (as above)!!

Me and my girl left after the show but Fly T spent all night downing rums, makin Millz crew dance on demand and leap frogging hotel furniture, allegedly locking the hotel concierge out of the building. Fly T plus Rum Ting... One man whirlwind of doom. My g/f got some good footage of the show so will slap up some Utyoub style edits soon... sadly we missed the rum ting action.
